1. Service Description

Backdroply is a meeting-background service operated by Thoughtomatic. You describe the space you want — a vibe, your lighting, and the personal touches that belong in it — and Backdroply generates a high-resolution background image you can use in video calls. The service is available at backdroply.com.

2. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

All images produced by Backdroply are generated by artificial intelligence. While we strive for high quality, AI-generated images may contain inaccuracies, artifacts, or unexpected details. You are solely responsible for reviewing each image before using it. Backdroply does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of any output.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Backdroply to:

• Generate, distribute, or promote illegal, harmful, hateful, or sexually explicit content.
• Depict real, identifiable people without their consent, or create misleading or deceptive imagery.
• Infringe the intellectual property rights of others, including by requesting protected logos or brands.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, exploit, or interfere with the service or its infrastructure.
• Use the service in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

4. Account Terms

• You create an account by signing in with Google.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account.
• You must be at least 16 years old to use the service.
• One person or entity may not maintain more than one account.

5. Pricing

Backdroply is free to use during its launch period, subject to usage limits. If we introduce paid plans or credit packs in the future, their pricing and terms will be presented to you before any charge, and we will update these Terms accordingly. We currently collect no payment information.

6. Intellectual Property

You own the background images you generate with Backdroply, and we claim no ownership over them or the descriptions you submit. By submitting a description, you grant us a limited licence to process it through our service (including sending it to third-party AI providers) solely to generate and deliver your image. The Backdroply name, logo, and service design are the property of Thoughtomatic.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Backdroply and Thoughtomatic shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the service. Our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (which, during the free launch period, is zero).

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these terms or engage in conduct that we determine, in our sole discretion, is harmful to the service or other users. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately, and we may delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by posting a notice on the service. Your continued use of Backdroply after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Thoughtomatic operates, without regard to conflict of law principles.
